She did what?


This blog post is inspired by this anonymous contributor to modern Russian culture. This street has 2-3 inches of ice. I just passed (on my left) a car that was unable to make its way up the hill. This girl races past me wearing 7 inch heals and a mini-skirt as I cautiously inch my way back from the grocery store.

But she must look stylish because the area around the university looks so sombre:



And what other option does she have? The pedestrian pathways are no different:

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, a woman hangs her towels to dry.



And at home, I make some pizza: thanks to a recipe from a student, it has become a quick and easy dish (delicious too):


Meanwhile, the sun sets on boats on and off the water:


And I find my way to a concert where there are some incredibly amusing Russian sailors (singing and dancing):


When I left, I helped an elderly lady with large glasses and one tooth make her way down some icy steps to the bus stop.
